I'm almost two weeks late, but I had a good reason, I almost set my house on fire and figured that was more of a priority.
Don't worry every one is ok, the fire only lasted about a good 5 minutes. There was very minor damage nothing a little scrubbing and painting can't fix. Lets just say I need to stay away from the kitchen for a while, lol.
Anyhow onto more important things hair. It's been three years, I can't believe it's been that long already! I have to keep reminding myself by counting the years that I first got them up until now on my hands, lol. Anyhow through all the ups and downs I'm still in love with my locks. I still contemplate of starting over but then the idea goes away only to resurface again. I have a feeling that I'm going to leave well enough alone, because if I really wanted to start over I would have a long time ago. All is well with my hair it is continuing to grow. I don't style much unless you call "freestyling" a style. Every now and then I will do the occasional braid out but I pretty much freestyle 99.8% of the time. I need to get out of this rut.
Maybe I should start a style challenge for myself. And style my hair every week for a month and see how it goes. It won't hurt right?
I'm starting to come to grips with the fact that I was born with thin hair, and that my hair will never be thick, this has been passed on to me for several generations. With all the damage that I have put my hair through I should be happy that I have any hair left, and I am. I will never put my hair through that torture again. I am so happy with my locks and have grown to love them that I can't imagine my hair in another style. My locks fit me and I fit them!

First, thanks for posting this - I loved the 3yr span collages. I am getting closer to my own one year, and needed to see photos documenting the journey. Your hair is beautiful.
BTW, I really got into that song on your play list, Hometown Glory. Never heard of this singer b4, now on my Ipod.
I am sure you can see the 3 year difference, because you hair is beautiful and you are right it fits you.

Thanks for stopping by, I contemplate starting over due to the fact that some of my locks are a bit weaker than others, I even lost a few, but I know that locks are not perfect so I'm just trying to sit tight.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for the compliments. Adele is a very talented singer from England, I heard she's been out for a while but I first heard of her from her single "Chasing Pavements" which is another good song. She sings with so much soul.

As for the starting over concern...Ask yourself if you want to go through taking down all your locs or chopping off all your hair, if you want to go through the install again, if you want to go through slippage and braiding and banding (it's a whole nother story if you want to go back to being a loose natural).... Your locs are PERFECT the way they are! They've grown and thickened so much!
The style a month idea sounds great! I'm wondering if I should get on this bandwagon myself....hhhmmm....?
Anyways, I'm happy you didn't burn your house down.

As far as starting over, I don't think I will ever have the couraged to do it. For some reason, I have this misconception of perfect locks existing. But then I have to remind myself that I'm not perfect so they suit me!
AS far as the stylin, I guess I have already started on a bad note, maybe next week. Lol
You should jump the bandwagon with me! It will be exciting yet challenging at the same time, lol. I know we could do it. I know the least we could do is 2 styeles. However we might have to start next month, cause like I said I'm already messing up, lol.

Well first off I am glad that everyone is ok from the fire! Praise God! Secondly I just love to see the progress that we have with our sisterlocks! I mean from the first year until now your hair has grown so much. It looks so pretty. And lastly free styling is really nice cause it literally does not require any work to acheive and it looks awsome. That is one of the reasons that I just love sisterlocks.
PS - Congrats on your third year!

Your hair isn't thin to me, I'm looking at the 3 year collage even the 2 year, I don't see parts, the pony tails are full the curls our bountiful! They are just prettiful and I can't wait to see what happens when you do start styling them!
