Hello Everyone. Well I'm sure everyone is fond of the Super Bowl this weekend. In fact this years Super Bowl goes down in history as two Black Coaches brings their teams all the way to the Top! Who would have thought? Well I'm extremely proud. I really don't mind who wins. I haven't picked a favorite team yet. I'm a fan of football due to years in the Marching Band I kinda had no choice! This is the second time the Super Bowl has been in Miami since I've lived here. I'm kind of sad that I will not be attending because I always wanted to go to a Super Bowl game and I've missed the opportunity since its been down here twice. However I will not give up one of these years I will make it. One of the main reasons I wanted to go is because Prince is performing Half Time. Another little fact about me is that I used to have a big crush on Prince when I was younger and I wanted him to be my husband!(lol) It all started with The Purple Rain(Purple is my favorite color) anyhow I used to watch that movie all day everyday! On the serious note Prince is a very talented musician and I admire his work! Especially what he could do on the guitar. I really think he will be performing some of Purple Rain because I had the opportunity to hear and see him practice all this week. ( I have a very good view of the display board(scoreboard!) I guess me watching Prince from my backyard is the closet I will ever get to him. I know he is or had a concert down here as well however I didn't or won't get the opportunity to go. Anyhow the traffic has been crazy down here but luckily for me I know the back roads! Anyhow I have a few pictures of the Dolphin or Pro Player Stadium all fixed up for the Superbowl. The pictures might not be that great because it was raining earlier and it's kind of cloudy.I also have a night shot taken around 650pm. I also have a pic of several police cars and all the traffic. A lot of police are here from out of state and other cities!
I have to step in and make a personal opinion. I find it kind of sad that all these police officers are here just for the Super Bowl. I know they are here to protect the big crowd just in case of a terrorist attack. However I want to know where are they when we need them the most? Where are they when crimes are being committed? They say they are suppose to protect and serve? (That's BS if you ask me). I'm glad I don't have to depend on them anyways that's enough of my soapbox!
At first when we moved to this house I was skeptical about moving in this area due to the stadium because I knew we would have to deal with traffic. However it hasn't been that bad. Although we are moving tomorrow. I am glad to have had the opportunity to see the Super Bowl from My Backyard I guess it's the closest I'll ever be for now anyways! I hope everyone is enjoying their Super Bowl Parties and there weekend! Have a good one! I'm off to watch the game!
P.S. I almost forgot I just passed my 8 month mark. All is well I still love my Sisterlocks, no changes no problems no complaints. Well talk with you all later. Until next time much love.

You lucky lady! I am a football fan and a huge Prince fan. Girl he played a concert in DC in 2005 it was off the hook. There were hundreds of folks leaving the concert singing Purple Rain all in sync...just beautiful! Michael Jackson was my husband back in the day:)
I too was too proud to pick a team. When asked all I would say is either way it comes out a brotha is gone win. I'm sooo envious of you living in the sunshine state. I've never been there but I love warm weather. I too lov His Purpleness. I soo wanted him to sing 1999 or Let's Go Crazy! Congrats on your 8 month mark. Your 1yr mark is inching closer.

Just wanted to say i like your blog and i used to leave new the staduim also. I walked past it everyday walking home from norland. I lived near carol city middle back then.
