I guess my locks length has finally gotten to that point where people are starting to assume that my hair is fake. I know the new color doesn't help but it's all good.
When people ask me this question I pay it no mind cause I love when they ask me question. I'm very proud with joy because I can finally say no this is all mine baby...all mine. No extensions needed! Lol
Do you all get offended when people ask if you have extensions? Or do you smile with joy?
I just washed my hair today, I'm currently doing a bantu set. I haven't done one in years and I've only done two since I've been locked. This shall be interesting. Pictures coming soon so stay tuned.

I have had people ask me if my hair is all mine. It really amuses me that many people don't quite know what to make of my hair. Is is a perm? Is it a weave? What the heck is it?
Lol. Theres someone in my family that has been around me since day 1 of my Sisterlocks and asked me if my hair was real, lol. Hopefully one day they will get it!
When A.A.'s ask me if my hair is all mine or if I have extensions, then I laugh and say "Of course it's mine. Why would I need extensions when I can grow my own beautiful head of nappy hair?" Then they look shocked because I said "nappy". *rolls eyes*
When non-A.A.'s ask me it's a little harder to explain, so I just say that my hair is a different texture than yours and that's why it looks the way it does, and it locs this way naturally. (I say this to avoid lecturing them if they look completely confused in my attempt to explain how my hair "works").

Yeah a few ppl assume that it's twists then get a closer look and realise i'm "rasta" as they call me for some reason. My mom is constantly asking me if it's my hair and each time i tell her yes. I live 4-5 hrs drive from my parents so i don't see her often. I can't wait til it's your length and then they will see how beautiful nappy hair is. I get loads of compliments for my locs and i just love being a walking advertisement :o)
Hey B, it doesn't bother me when strangers ask me but when one certain family member asks me the same question every single time I see her, it gets old. I was very patient until she asked me the 4th time and then I just told her that if she asks me that question one more time I was going to beat her down. I haven't seen her since to see if my threat has worked or not....lol.
