Hello my name is Valencia but you can call me V. After years of damaging my hair, I knew there had to be a better way. So I decided to take the path to go natual and lock up. I was Sisterlcoked from June 2006 until Sept 2010 (4yrs). In which during that time I truly enjoyed my hair freedom. Unfortunately my journey had to come to end due to post partum hair loss. I have recently started a new journey this past September, and looking forward to all the ups and downs. As a new Sisterlocks™ Consultant I want to give women and men that same freedom.

Trip To Wal-Mart

Well I know that this post may not have much to do with hair! Well it will in the end. I just had to blog about my trip to Wal-Mart today. Anyhow as I approached the entrance, I noticed a big crowd of people hovering over someone. I wondered who might this person be? Well I just had to be nosy to see who it was. " Yall gone make me lose my mind! Up in here! Up in here!" Have you guessed it yet? Yep it was DMX.
I was surprised to see him up in there! It is now official everybody and dey mama goes to Wal-Mart! LOL Anyhow I stayed calm. I admit seeing him put a smile on my face. However I wasn't trying to be all in his face like all of the Wal-Mart employees. He is attractive just not my type. I did notice he looks shorter and smaller in person.

And now on to hair things. I have a thin hairline. I wasn't really sure whatI should do about it. So I looked at all of the blogs on the "Locked Hair Blog Exchange" and I came across Abena's Page . So I realize that I'm not the only one with this problem. So I took the advice of other Sisterlocked Sisters and I purchased the Organic Root Stimulator "Fertilizing Temple Balm" it came with a sample of "Carrot Oil" . I'm not sure which product is best? So I'm going to use the Temple Balm first. Now I do realize that these products are creamy so I know to only apply them to scalp and not my locks.(I am still in the locking process) I noticed that these products state that it works perfect for relaxed hair. My hair is neither, I just hope that it works. Anyhow as I proceed to check out the cashier states that this product is really good and that she uses it. With that statement it made me feel like I made the right decsion to give this stuff a try. Well until next time much love!

TO Chosen vessel,
I haven't seen a change yet as well, I have been skipping a day here and there. I try not to use it too often because I'm still in the locking process, however I have been taking hair and nail vitamins so I hope either one of the products start to kick in!

I am just so grateful for all of you ladies who came before me. All of your questions and concerned about your hair journey and your ability to verbalize it, really helps those of us following in your footsteps.
