Hello my name is Valencia but you can call me V. After years of damaging my hair, I knew there had to be a better way. So I decided to take the path to go natual and lock up. I was Sisterlcoked from June 2006 until Sept 2010 (4yrs). In which during that time I truly enjoyed my hair freedom. Unfortunately my journey had to come to end due to post partum hair loss. I have recently started a new journey this past September, and looking forward to all the ups and downs. As a new Sisterlocks™ Consultant I want to give women and men that same freedom.

I can see my parts!

Never thought I would be happy to say that. It seems like it's been forever since I have been able to see my parts. At the time it wasn't a big deal, but now that I see them I actually kind of missed them, lol.

And who do I have to thank? Consultant B. She has such a positive attitude, I wish I would have met her sooner. When I met her for the first time, I did realize that I did see her at my job once and was even going to approach her but she was busy on the phone and so was I so I thought hopefully I would see her again. My intentions were to ask her who did her hair. I guess it would have been a matter of time before we would have hooked up, and that's why I believe it was meant for me to call her.

She did such a good job on my locks, I beleive I have fell in love with them all over again, she did some groomin and was able to fix my parts in the front of my head. It wasn't a big deal to me as long as I still had hair, I'm not sure if you all remember but at one time I was so unhappy with my hair that I wanted to start over. Well she reassured me that it was not necessary and after she got finished with my hair I agreed.

I'm so in love with my locks. I should have seeked help sooner, better late than never. Right?

I have learned never to go 3 months without retightening, that is just insane! I had to see my consultant on 2 separate visits( thats how much new growth I had!) She is a very nice lady and I'm happy with her services, and don't need to look no further. She is so laid back. Anyhow she also gave me the liberty to do my own retightenings( she said I was doing a great job, except for a few mistakes here and there) because I know some consultants disagree. However I'm going to see her in another 4 weeks and then go every other retightening, just to make sure things stay in order. SHe has gotten rid of some of my two headed locks, and even restarted about 10 new locks, who new I had that much hair to restart that many locks. When they grow out some she plans to reattach the locks that were cut out to the new ones. ( I'm curious to see how this works). Anyhow I'm very pleased with her services, the only thing I don't like is how far I have to travel to get my hair retightened, but I will say it is worth it.

I'm sorry I don't have any pictures, Clumsy me dropped my camera and broke it. So I'm on a search to buy a new camera. I also got bit by the color bug and dyed my hair. I so love it and I wish you all could see it, but until then I guess just be patient!

Well I gotta go do something constructive with my life.

Until next time much love!
